El Guincho - Pop Negro
When ‘Pop Negro’ plays, you bounce, you jolt, you shake the floor. From ‘Bombay’ onwards there is a unique, cultural party spirit conjured up by Barcelona-wizz Pablo Díaz-Reixa and it’s quite simply impossible to turn your head to. “Infectious” is a gross, practically illegal understatement.
I would indulge, busy myself with making comparisons, detailing the part of El Guincho’s second album that make your toes tap the most. But instead, partly because I have the flu and am on the verge of fainting, I’m showing you this video; the video that made me notice ‘Pop Negro’ and all its potential assets.
