Buzz Kull: Bedroom Highs

What’s buzzier than a buzz band with the word ‘buzz’ in their name? A buzz band with the word ‘buzz’ in their name and a business in bee-breeding (is that a thing?) and honey-making. But that’s not the point. Buzz Kull is severely lacking in buzz for the time being. A Sydney-based doom artist with on average 50 plays per Soundcloud track. Both of Marcel Whyler’s efforts are frenetic, tense experiences; like a harsh collision of sharp, broken fragments. Rooted somewhere in between modern day post-punk and 80s industrial pop, ‘Bedroom Highs’ and ‘I Disappear’ are grim, haunting and completely engrossing affairs.
