Here’s something absolutely sublime from Retro/Grade, in the form of forthcoming single ‘Escape Sequence’. For starters, there is nothing retrograde about this seven-minute wonder: full of propulsive rhythms and vibrancy, it shows that the duo (Serge Santiago and Tom Neville) are intent on continuing to move forward. The moment the track’s hook arrives, just before the two minute mark, is as unexpected as it is breathtaking. Keep an eye on these two, because by our reckoning everyone’s going to want a piece of ‘em next year.
