Eels on Heels: Blank Skin
Thanks to Strange Fires for this one. That wonderful blog has seemingly developed an unhealthy obsession with the intense, abrasive songs of Eels on Heels and I can’t help thinking I might be heading the same way. Each momentary burst of sound and energy on ‘Blank Skin’ leaves a distinct mark; relentless percussion only adding to the severity and the sheer force of the entire experience. Very HEALTH-like, in so many ways. But there should be more music like this. A form of escape, not through sunny, glow-y chillwave but through something harsh and abrupt and forceful, such as this.
