High Highs: Ivy

Perhaps I’m “caught in the ivy too”. This isn’t usually the sort of thing I’d go for; a song so purposefully soft and tame that it can only be described as relaxing, sweet, melodic. MFM tries its best to give you the sound of something different and inventive - High Highs’ latest song doesn’t err on the side of innovation.
Its cloudy, rhythmic arrangement of acoustic chords however is too balmy a combination to refuse. Simple as that. Sometimes we’re in need of this - particularly on a humid, Indian Summer evening as the one forthcoming.
