Walls: Raw Umber/ Twilight
A few days back, I was on the brink of becoming the guilty party in purchasing an album on sheer merit of its artwork and the fact that it would look beautiful in amongst my record collection. Yes, the Holy Other remix of ‘Sunporch’ was in part a persuasion towards ‘Coracle’, but I was more fixated with the flurry of pink smoke sitting before me. Turns out the front-cover is indicative of what lies inside. ‘Raw Umber/Twilight’ is as poignant and emotional as an instrumental song gets; harsh twinges of industrial guitar washing over a seamless body of synthetics
